H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency providing services to members of the Greater Pittsburgh community through partnerships developed with local school districts, churches, business, and families. It is the intention of H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow to foster a commitment to members of the community which will promote healthy self- image, self- esteem and self- expression leading to the development of stronger members of society in tomorrow’s world.
After facing the staggering realities of the rise in single parent homes, teenage pregnancies, gang activity, unemployment and academic failure, many individuals now express a loss of faith in the future both individually and for the communities in which these tragedies/challenges are so prevalent. The challenge today appears to be a loss of hope for tomorrow. To restore faith, a system must be put in place that provides an opportunity to reestablish a positive connection between the individual and his community. Through the provision of prevention/early intervention services, youth and adults will be able to access opportunities for involvement in prosocial activities and develop hope for a positive future.
The goal of H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow, Inc. is to help individuals develop and strengthen skills to decrease risk of further difficulties. This is accomplished through the implementation of programs addressing the specific needs of the individual as well as the broader needs of the Greater Pittsburgh communities. H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow, Inc. is determined to create an empowered environment which will be a priceless resource to the populations being served. It is our belief that Helping Ourselves Produce Excellence for Tomorrow is not only a vision, it is a mission.
